Young people are our future, and the architecture to support that future needs to inspire learning and stimulate their development. It also needs to be delivered while minimising disruption and risk, on an active site. Finally, these results must to be achieved on budget, while balancing the demands and input of a number of stakeholders - from teachers and pupils, to managers and local government.
Our architecture supports the long term aspirations of schools, and overcomes the challenges presented by old, energy-inefficient buildings - to incorporate sustainable materials and make education spaces fit for the future.
When delivering architecture for schools, we invite pupil involvement in our process. By delivering interactive workshops with pupils, our project can become a learning experience for them, and ensures the spaces we create are informed by the people they are being built for.
